The present invention relates to a positive electrode composite material for a lithium-ion battery. The positive electrode composite material comprises a positive electrode active material and maleimides monomers compounded with the positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material being a lithium-transition metal oxide, and the maleimides monomers comprising at least one of the following: maleimide monomers, bismaleimide monomers, polymaleimide monomers, and maleimides derivative monomers. The present invention also relates to a lithium-ion battery.
