The invention relates to a vehicle wheel suspension. An independent rear suspension for the wheels of a vehicle includes two longitudinal levers and a mechanism for locking all levers relative to one another. The levers are connected via cylindrical joints to the lower portion of a body, and via ball joints to the ends of an equal-armed rocker. A central longitudinal lever is installed on a transverse axis, and the central portion of the equal-armed rocker is pivotally connected to said central longitudinal lever. A longitudinal lever is connected via a cylindrical joint to the lower portion of the body, and via a spring-based damping mechanism to the upper portion of the body. The locking mechanism includes immobilizing elements which are connected to the levers. The lateral portions of the equal-armed rocker are each provided with an element in the form of a cylindrical joint, which divides the lateral portion of the rocker into segments, the angular positions of which can change relative to one another; and with end telescoping elements. The invention provides for increased stability and a smoother ride. |
