PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of signaling a coded block unit in coding 3D video content.SOLUTION: A method of coding and signaling 3D video content comprises coding one or more blocks of video data representative of texture information of at least a portion of a frame of video data. A texture slice comprises the coded one or more blocks, and a texture slice header comprising a set of syntax elements representative of characteristics of the texture slice. A depth slice comprises coded depth information, and a depth slice header comprising a set of syntax elements representative of characteristics of the depth slice. The method comprises predicting at least one syntax element of the set of syntax elements representative of characteristics of the texture slice or set of syntax elements representative of characteristics of the depth slice from a reference slice header individually, where the reference slice header is from a view component of the same access unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
