The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a hand-off method thereof. More specifically the present invention relates to a mobile terminal which performs hand-off by considering mobility of a mobile terminal, and a hand-off method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal comprises: a communications unit for receiving position information of an access point from the access point; a process unit for obtaining position information of the mobile terminal based on the position information of at least three access points, setting a movement estimation path of the mobile terminal based on positions of the mobile terminal obtained in different viewpoints, and selecting a target access point to perform hand-off based on the movement estimation path; and a storage unit for storing position information of the mobile terminal.
