PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for controlling access to protected content.SOLUTION: A receiver 30 includes a first interface 31 to receive content, a second interface 33 to be coupled to a device, and a processor 32 to determine whether the device is a compliant device and to prevent decryption of at least a portion of the content received through the first interface when it is determined that the device is a non-compliant device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
