PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element manufacturing method that enables efficient coating on a laser-beam irradiated portion out of a base material.SOLUTION: Plural projecting portions of an intermediate product are arranged along a first direction on a board. A sealing mechanism has a pair of rollers which rotate around a rotational axis extending in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction. The pair of rollers are arranged to be spaced from each other at an interval in the first direction. In a sealing step using the sealing mechanism, a portion of a lid member which is suspended between the pair of rollers is in close contact with a part of the intermediate product. In an irradiation step, light is transmitted through the portion of the lid member suspended between the pair of rollers and reaches the intermediate product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
