PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image retention.SOLUTION: A pixel circuit 10 comprises: a light-emitting element 11; a driving transistor (M11) for supplying current corresponding to applied voltage to the light-emitting element 11; a capacitance unit (12) for holding voltage including the threshold voltage Vth and data voltage Vdata of the driving transistor (M11); and a switch unit 13 that makes the capacitance unit (12) hold the voltage including the threshold voltage Vth and data voltage Vdata and applies the voltage to the driving transistor (M11). The switch unit 13 has a function to apply constant voltage to the driving transistor (M11) before making the capacitance unit (12) hold the voltage including the threshold voltage Vth and data voltage Vdata.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
