摘要 Disclosed are a communication method, device, and system for a passive optical network. The method comprises: an optical network unit (ONU) reports a calibration record of the ONU, the calibration record comprising an identifier of a calibrated wavelength channel; when an OLT determines according to the calibration record that a target wavelength channel identifier corresponding to a target wavelength channel that the ONU needs to switch to is not in the calibration record, send a first message to the ONU, the first message comprising a wavelength forced switching identifier; and the ONU implements, according to the bearer wavelength forced switching identifier, wavelength channel calibration on the target wavelength channel to be switched to, and instructs the ONU to switch to the calibrated target wavelength channel. Therefore, the ONU is enabled to rapidly implement wavelength switching after calibrating a newly added wavelength channel and implement data communication through the calibrated and newly added wavelength channel, so that the newly added wavelength channel is effectively used to expand the capacity of the system and the bandwidth utilization rate of the system is improved.
