PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an antenna device which is applicable to two frequency bands, i.e. a first frequency band and a second frequency band, and which can achieve a high gain in any of the frequency bands without upsizing of it; and a wireless communication device having such an antenna device.SOLUTION: An antenna device comprises: a ground conductor 11 having a slit 111 and a conductor opening 112, provided that two power-supply points to which UHF band signals are fed are located on both side of the slit; a power-feeding coil 2 to which a HF-band power supply circuit is connected, and which has a coil conductor 21 wound so that a coil opening CW is formed inside it, and is disposed in a position where the coil opening overlaps with the conductor opening 112 at least partially in plan view; and an additional circuit 3 connected to at least one of the two power-feeding points of the ground conductor 11, which is substantially opened in an HF band, whereas it substantially makes a short circuit in a UHF band. The ground conductor 11 is electromagnetically coupled with the power-feeding coil 2 and works as a radiating auxiliary element in the HF band, whereas it works as a radiating element of a dipole antenna in the UHF band.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
