PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which is excellent in color gamut area ratio.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A semiconductor light emitting device which emits mixed color light of light form a light emitting element and fluorescent light of first through third fluorescent materials. The first luminescent material has a composition represented by a general formula (I): A[MMnF] (I) (where A is at least one selected from a group consisting of K, Li, Na, Rb, Csand NH, and M is at least one selected from a group consisting of a group 4 element and a group 14 element, and a satisfies 0<a<0.2). The second fluorescent material has a composition represented by a general formula (II): (x-a)MgO (a/2)ScOyMgFcCaF(1-b)GeO(b/2)MtO:zMn(II) (where 2.0≤x≤4.0, 0<y<1.5, 0<z<0.05, 0≤a<0.5, 0<b<0.5, 0≤c<1.5, y+c<1.5 and Mt is at least one selected from Al, Ga and In).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
