According to the present invention, disclosed are an apparatus for operating a turn signal lamp of a vehicle and a control method thereof. The apparatus for operating a turn signal lamp of a vehicle of the present invention includes: turn signal lamps installed at the left and right sides of the front and the rear of the vehicle; a turn signal switch which selects a turn-on direction of the turn signal lamp and turns on/off the turn signal lamp; and a control part which turns on/off the turn signal lamp of the selected direction according to an operation direction of the turn signal switch, and also turns on/off the turn signal lamp by changing a switching period in case the turn signal switch is operated repetitively. The present invention can reduce the risk of accidents. |
