a display configured to display information; a short range communication module configured to exchange a signal with an external device; and a controller configured to: receive a signal from the external device, determine a context at a timing point of receiving the signal, and control an operation corresponding to the signal to be performed in the determined context, wherein the operation includes at least one of an activation/deactivation of the display, an activation/deactivation of a lock of the mobile terminal, an indicating of a location of the mobile terminal, a volume operation of the mobile terminal, or a camera operation of the mobile terminal, and wherein the operation is controlled based on a strength of the signal received from the external device. |
