CONTROL METHOD

A control method for a pump assembly (10, 12) in a pneumatic or hydraulic system controls a speed (n) of the pump assembly (10, 12) in dependence on at least one variable (Dp, p, T, xp) which is detected in the system. An error signal (e) is produced from the detected variable (Dp, p, T, xp) on the basis of a sectionwise monotonic function. On the basis of the error signal, the speed (n) of the pump assembly (10, 12) is controlled.

1. A control method for a pump assembly in a pneumatic or hydraulic system, the method comprising the steps of:
detecting at least one system variable in the system; closed loop controlling a speed of the pump assembly in dependence on the at least one system variable which is detected in the system; producing an error signal from the detected variable on the basis of a sectionwise monotonic function; and using the error signal as a basis for the step of controlling the speed of the pump assembly.
