METHOD FOR MANAGING FILES, DISTRIBUTED STORAGE SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT NODE

Disclosed are a method for managing files, a distributed storage system and a management node. The method includes: a management node receives a file creation request sent by a host computer, the file creation request being used for creating a file in a distributed storage system; the management node allocates a first virtual space for the file from a global virtual address space of the distributed storage system according to the file creation request, wherein a local virtual address space of each storage node in the distributed storage system corresponds to a portion of the global virtual address space; the management node records metadata of the file, the metadata of the file including information about the first virtual space allocated to the file, the information about the first virtual space being used for pointing to the local virtual address space of the storage node which stores the file; and the management node sends a file creation success response to the host computer, the file creation success response carrying information about the first virtual space. The embodiments of the present invention can improve the file management efficiency.
