The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealing apparatus for a heat treating furnace, which is in contact with both side surfaces of a carousel roll in the heat treating furnace to block heat. The sealing apparatus can show effective sealing performance even at a high temperature, and operates so as to maintain a good contact state even when abrasion or partial deviation occurs in the carousel roll or the sealing apparatus. Accordingly, the sealing apparatus for a heat treating furnace having a carousel roll installed therein, according to the present invention, is installed on a wall structure of the heat treating furnace at both sides of the carousel roll to block heat leaking from a gap between the lateral side of the carousel roll and the wall structure of the heat treating furnace. The sealing apparatus comprises: a refractory block which is arranged such that the longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the carousel roll; a guide support which supports the refractory block and guides the movement of the refractory block to make contact with and be separated from the carousel roll, the guide support being fixedly installed on the wall structure of the heat treating furnace; and a driving device for moving the refractory block back and forth with respect to the guide support so that the refractory block is brought into contact with the carousel roll and is separated from the carousel roll. |
