METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING OF MEDIA-BASED ROUTING

A method and apparatus can be configured to receive a first session- initiation-protocol (SIP) message relating to an attempt to make a call. The method may include determining that the attempt to make the call is an attempt to make a multimedia-messaging-emergency- services call. The method may include transmitting an indication of the attempt to make the multimedia-messaging-emergency-services call. The indication is transmitted to a second node. The method may also include transmitting a second session-initiation-protocol message relating to a denial of serving the multimedia-messaging-emergency- services call.
