PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a trouble in operation of a switching element in association with a change of a refresh rate of a display panel.SOLUTION: A driving device includes: a refresh rate changing part (15) that changes a refresh rate of a display panel (2) by setting both a scanning period of sequentially scanning a plurality of gate signal lines (G) of the display panel (2) and a suspension period of suspending the sequential scanning of the plurality of gate signal lines (G); and a drive amount control part (20) that controls a drive time of driving the gate signal lines in the scanning period according to a ratio between the scanning period and suspension period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
