Disclosed are a cache content hitting method and a communication system, which are used for allowing a charging and monitoring device to charge and monitor contents accessed by a user. The method of the embodiments of the present invention comprises: receiving and storing, by an edge cache device, a content request message carrying content identification from an access network device; querying, by the edge cache device, a content corresponding to the content identification from local cache contents; when determining that the content corresponding to the content identification is stored, sending the content to the access network device; after adding, by the edge cache device, content hit identification to the content request message, forwarding same to a core cache device; sending, by the core cache device, a response message carrying the contents to a cache control device via a charging and monitoring device, the response message carrying the content hit identification; and discarding, by the cache control device, the contents in the response message according to the content hit identification. The embodiments of the present invention can allow a charging and monitoring device to charge and monitor contents accessed by a user. |
