发明名称 DEVICE FOR PERCUTANEOUS TRANSPEDICULAR SPINE STABILIZATION
摘要 The invention relates to the field of medicine, and specifically to traumatology and neurosurgery, and can be applied to the treatment of patients suffering from traumatic and pathological (in the presence of osteoporosis and metastatic lesions) fractures of vertebral bodies. The technical result of the proposed invention consists in decreasing the amount of operating time necessary for installing a device. The invention is carried out as follows. During an operation, positioning a patient face-down on an operating table and administering anesthesia. Then, dissecting soft tissues in a straight line, and exposing a vertebral-motor segment to be secured. Next, in order to securely affix a vertebral-motor segment, installing two first screws (4) in a healthy vertebra located closer to the cervical spine and adjacent to the damaged vertebra, and installing two second screws (8) in a healthy vertebra located farther from the cervical spine and adjacent to the damaged vertebra. The first screws (4) and the second screws (8) are installed in the vertebral bodies (1) by means of the vertebral pedicles (3) and symmetrically relative to the spinous processes of the vertebrae (6). Self-polymerizing bone cement (2) is introduced through first apertures (14) in the first screws (4), and through second apertures (23) in the second screws (8). Following the polymerization of the cement, a corresponding nipple (25) is screwed onto a first head (9) of each first screw (4) in the vertebral bodies. Tubes (5) are filled with the self-polymerizing bone cement (2), are bent in the direction of the second screws (8), and are positioned along the vertebral-motor segment. A free end (28) of each tube (5) is inserted into a recess (18) corresponding to a second head (19) of a second screw (8), and is securely affixed using a third screw (7). Following the complete polymerization of the system, a strong connection is formed which restores the supporting capability of front and rear pillars of the vertebral-motor segment.
