A test target for use in the quality assessment of a forensic test is provided. The target comprises a substrate having arranged thereon a first area of a substance for use in a first stage of the forensic test in a first concentration and a second area of a substance for use in a first stage of the forensic test in a second concentration. The first and second concentrations are different and greater than 0 g/cm3. The first area comprises an edge that is at least partially in contact with the second area, and at least a portion of the edge in contact with the second area is non-linear. |
