The liquid crystal display includes a first and a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first and the second substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode respectively formed in the first and the second substrate; and at least one third electrode which is formed in the liquid crystal layer, and divides the crystal liquid layer into sub crystal liquid layers.
