A vehicle mirror apparatus 10 comprises a frame or connector member (30, figure 2) attachable to a portion of a vehicle 20, possibly the roof 22 thereof. The mirror apparatus has at least one mirror 41, 42 connected to the frame or connector member such that the mirrors are provided forward of a windscreen 26 of the vehicle so that a driver can view the mirrors through the windscreen. The frame may comprise side members 33, 34 which are attached to roof bars 23, 24 of the vehicle at several locations. The mirrors may be attached to the side members by means of coupling members 53, 54 which may be pivotable or rotatable so that the mirrors may be moved between deployed and stowed positions (see figure 5). The width and/or length of the frame may be adjustable, and the whole apparatus may be detachable when not required. The mirror assembly is intended to improve the rear view (see figure 6) for a driver of the vehicle when it is towing a caravan or trailer. |
