The present invention relates to an on-board diagnostics (OBD) linked type-security device for a vehicle, allowing a sensor to be operated when all states of stalling the vehicle, closing a door, and locking the door are confirmed, thereby increasing the accuracy of the security device and minimizing power consumption; and providing information on a drive of the vehicle when a security mode is set after the driver gets out, thereby allowing the vehicle to effectively be managed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the OBD linked type-security device for the vehicle comprises: a main body; a sensor; and a communications module. The main body is installed in the interior of the vehicle. The sensor is installed on one side of the main body and monitors the state of the vehicle when a security mode setting signal is received. The communications module is installed on the interior of the main body; is electrically connected to the OBD previously installed on the vehicle to selectively transmit the security mode setting signal to the sensor depending on the state of the vehicle; and transmits a notification message to the owner of the vehicle when a dangerous state is detected by the sensor. |
