The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for supporting a walking function, wherein the apparatus improves a walking function of patients with Parkinson′s disease. The apparatus for supporting a walking function of patients with Parkinson′s disease according to one aspect of the invention comprises: a ground and obstacle detecting unit which separates a ground area, which is a pedestrian passage, from obtained images, and detects an obstacle located in the ground area; a visual pattern generating unit which generates a visual pattern with respect to the pedestrian passage; and a visual pattern display unit which displays the visual pattern on a display panel, and displays the visual pattern in a pedestrian area besides an area in which the obstacle is detected, of patient′s see-through areas through a display.
