The watch (1) has a gong (3) fixed with a gong holder (2) that is integrated with a plate (5) on which a watch movement (10) is mounted. A hammer (4) strikes the gong. A magnetic insulator arrangement (20) insulates the gong in a magnetic or non-mechanical manner. The arrangement has a movable permanent magnet (21) that is arranged on the gong remote from the gong holder and is made of ferromagnetic material. The gong defines a circular or rectangular portion around the watch movement inside a case or a cage defining a wall (6) or a dial of the watch.
