PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device by a multiband optical orthogonal frequency multiplex transmission system for enhancing frequency utilization efficiency, by providing an RF pilot signal for use in phase noise compensation only in one signal.SOLUTION: The transmitter of an optical transmission device by a multiband optical orthogonal frequency multiplex (OFDM) transmission system transmits signals, excepting one OFDM signal, without providing a guard band of a pilot signal and an overview signal. A receiver extracts the pilot signal from one OFDM signal, detects variation of phase noise from the pilot signal, and compensates for the phase noise by applying the variation of phase noise to all OFDM signals. |
