PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera that can accurately and quickly focus on a subject, and to provide a photographing method and a photographing program.SOLUTION: A camera comprises: an image sensor that photographs a subject via a photographic lens and creates photographing data; a focus evaluation value calculating section that, on the basis of the photographing data, calculates a focus evaluation value indicating degree of focus; and a photographic control section that repeats focusing operation in which the photographic lens is moved on the basis of the focus evaluation value, that compares the latest focus evaluation value with a predetermined focus threshold upon receiving a photographic instruction; and, on the basis of comparison result, determines whether photographing should be carried out, without moving a position of the photographic lens or photographing should be carried out, after the photographic lens is moved. |
