<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorus recovery material highly reactive to phosphorus and excelling in sedimentation of an aggregate formed by adsorbing phosphorus, and to provide a method for producing the phosphorus recovery material. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphorus recovery material includes an aggregate of an amorphous calcium silicate hydrate and unreacted Ca(OH)<SB POS="POST">2</SB>produced preferably under non-heating by adding lime to a sodium silicate aqueous solution, wherein a Ca/Si molar ratio is 1.5-10, preferably 1.5-5.5. When the phosphorus recovery material is added into an aqueous solution containing phosphorus, the height of a sedimentation portion after two minutes from the formation of an agglomerate is not higher than 1/2 of the height of a sedimentation portion in the case of using the same amount of slaked lime, and a phosphorus recovery rate is 60% or more with the added amount of 0.5 wt.% or more. The phosphorus recovery material is usable in a state of a dry body that recovers the aggregate or in a state of slurry containing the aggregate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
