A lifejacket comprises an inflatable chamber 10, 11, 12 for extending around a neck and across a chest of a wearer 27 and an inflatable hood 13 carried by the chamber. The hood surrounds a head of the wearer. The hood may carry a transparent spray cover 29 that can be pulled over the face of a wearer. The hood may extend between the rear of the head of a wearer and the chamber and when inflated, and when the wearer is floating in water, may support the head of the wearer at a predetermined face plane angle to minimise chocking. |
