PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument which enables visual identification of a wide range of writing directions through a visual identification section of a pen nib and ensures consistent writing to the last touch of writing, in which an appropriate amount of ink flow is kept to prevent thinning of the same when writing is carried out, and which provides an excellently stable flow rate in writing.SOLUTION: The writing instrument A includes: a pen nib 40 having a pen core 45 serving as a writing section; a holding structure 55 which holds the pen core 45 and has at least one ink guide section 50 for supplying ink to the writing section; and a relay pen core 30 for supplying the ink contained in a writing instrument body 10 to the ink guide section 50 provided in the holding structure 55. The writing instrument allows the holding structure 55 to serve as the visual identification section for visually identifying the direction of writing. A body portion having a cylindrical part 41 which holds the relay pen core 30 is formed continuously to the holding structure 55, the cylindrical part 41 is provided with a step 48 to which the relay pen core 30 can come into contact, and a gap part 49 (length Y: 0<Y≤2) is formed between the step 48 and the relay pen core 30. |
