Disclosed are a negative electrode active material, a negative electrode and a lithium battery using the same, and a manufacturing method of the negative electrode active material. The negative electrode active material comprises: a core particle including a silicon-based alloy; carbon nanoparticles disposed on the surface of the core particle; and an amorphous carbon-based coating layer coated on at least some portion of the surface of the core particle. The negative electrode active material can improve lifespan properties of the lithium battery.
