<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a post-processing apparatus to improve sheet alignment of Z-shaped folded sheets and normal sheets upon gathering and aligning a plurality of sheets including Z-shaped folded sheets and/or normal sheets one after another. <P>SOLUTION: The post-processing apparatus includes a sheet aligning member 20 that gathers and aligns a plurality of sheets including Z-shaped folded sheets and/or normal sheets one after another, and a controller 50 that inputs post-processing information to identify a Z-shaped folded sheet or a normal sheet to be gathered into the sheet aligning member 20, sets a start timing of an aligning action corresponding to Z-shaped folded sheets and normal sheets according to the post-processing information, and controls the sheet aligning member at the start timing having been set. Thereby, the aligning action corresponding to the Z-shaped folded sheets and the normal sheets can highly reproducibly be carried out at the start timing having been set. As a result, starting an aligning process before falling into the sheet aligning member can be prevented, and damaging an end part of a sheet resulting from its bending can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
