PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat recovery device, along with a cogeneration system and a method of detecting incorrect pipe connection, capable of detecting a pipe incorrectly connecting a power generating unit with the heat recovery device without starting the power generating unit employing a fuel cell or the like.SOLUTION: When the power generating unit and the heat recovery device are connected with a pipe, an incorrect connection detection operation is performed without starting a power generating operation of the power generating unit. The incorrect connection detection operation circulates hot water while heating it at a predetermined part in a heat recovery channel formed by connecting the power generating unit and the heat recovery device with the pipe. Then, a temperature at which the hot water circulating in the heat recovery channel flows in the predetermined part is detected and based on the detected temperature, it is determined whether the pipe used for connecting the power generating unit with the heat recovery device is connected incorrectly. |
