The present invention relates to a location tracing system for a ward to promote security by easily grasping the position of the ward, and find the ward quickly in an emergency. For this, the ward location tracing system comprises: a ward terminal including a wireless communication module; a guardian portable terminal to determine whether the ward leaves a preset area or not by checking reception strength from the ward terminal and to transmit a missing child generation signal to a central server if it is determined that the ward leaves the preset area; the central server to transmit the correcting ward terminal information to a portable terminal of a third party if the missing child generation signal is received; and the portable terminal of the third party to transmit a missing child finding signal including the own location to the central server by using the ward terminal information if the ward terminal is searched. The central server provides a ward location tracking system to transmit GPS information transmitted from the portable terminal of the third party to the guardian portable terminal. According to the present invention, the position of the ward can be easily grasped in public and safety can be increased by rapidly finding the position of the ward even if the ward leaves a grasping position.
