PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous determination in a steering device determining change in property of an elastic member in a steering transmission system by prohibiting the property change determination when steering without driving is detected while stopping the vehicle.SOLUTION: A steering angle zero point detection part 102 detects zero point in steering angle of a steering wheel. A zero point history storing part 104 stores detection history of the zero point. A property change determination part 116 determines change in property of a steering transmission system based on the detection history. A detection/renewal prohibiting part 120 prohibits zero point detection by the steering angle zero point detection part 102 or renewal of the detection history by the zero point history storing part 104 for a predetermined period when change in steering angle at predetermined value or more is detected while stopping the vehicle. |
