<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing force detection device for, even when a large pressing force is applied, preventing a pressure detection part from being damaged, and for highly accurately detecting the value of the pressing force. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 11 displaces in a direction of a pressing force to be added to the touch panel 11 in accordance with the pressing force. A pressure detection part 110 generates a pressure in a sealed space 113 in accordance with the displacement of the touch panel 11 in the direction of the pressing force, and detects the pressure in the sealed space 113. Furthermore, a pressing force detection device estimates a pressing force by using the detected pressure in the sealed space and the coordinates of the touch panel 11 to which the pressing force has been added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
