摘要 Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device having high external quantum efficiency and long life. Also disclosed are an illuminating device and a display device. The organic electroluminescent device is characterized by containing at least one compound having a partial structure represented by the following general Formula (1). An organic electroluminescent element comprising a compound having a partial structure represented by Formula (1) in the molecule: wherein R1 is an aromatic hydrocarbon group or aromatic heterocyclic group substituted by a substituent having 4 to 12 carbon atoms and a formula weight of 70 to 350, and the substituent is selected from the group consisting of: an alkyl group, an alkoxyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group and an aromatic heterocyclic group, with the proviso that if the substituent is a straight chain alkyl group, it has 6 to 12 carbon atoms; R2 through R4 are each independently a substituent; n2 is an integer of 0 to 4; n3 is an integer of 0 to 2; n4 is an integer of 0 to 8; and Q is a group of atoms necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring.
