<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of compacting concrete that allows efficient concrete compaction and also allows uniform compaction without being influenced by the operator's skill level. <P>SOLUTION: A method of compacting concrete is provided, in which a vibrator 1 is used that includes a drive motor and a rod-shaped vibrating body coupled to a rotating shaft of the drive motor and having an eccentric weight supported by three or more supports. The vibrator 1 is inserted into a formwork 40 in a sideways position such that the side face of the vibrator 1 is brought into contact with or buried in a surface on which concrete 45 is placed. Then, while being kept in its sideways position, the vibrator 1 is pulled upward in accordance with the height of the surface on which the concrete 45 is placed, thereby causing the placed concrete 45 to be compacted sequentially from bottom to upward. Since the vibrator 1 only has to be inserted into the concrete 45 while being oriented in the sideways position, uniform compaction can be achieved without being influenced by the operator's skill level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
