<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable etc., which has its coating easily removed and is superior in branching operability. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of coated fibers 7 are arranged at a substantially center position in a section of an optical fiber cable 1. A buffer layer 8 is provided to the outer peripheral of the coated fibers 7 when necessary. A coating part 3 is provided to the outer periphery of the buffer layer 8. Tension members 9 and tearing cords 11 are provided in the coating part 3. A plurality of notches 5 are provided in the outer peripheral surface of the coating part 3. At least a pair of notches 5 are formed. The pair of notches 5 are V-shaped notch parts, and formed in mutually opposite directions. Namely, the notches 5 are formed not facing the center of the optical fiber cable 1. A line connecting tips of the pair of notches 5 is a cutting line 13. The cutting line 13 is a part to be cut with a cutting tool when the coating part 3 is removed. The tearing cords 11 are provided on the cutting lines 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
