<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-view side mirror device for a vehicle, which can prevent rattle noise occurring in adjusting the inclination angle of a mirror. <P>SOLUTION: The rear-view side mirror device includes: a holder base 21 having the mirror 40; a rod 36A whose tip part is joined to the holder base 21 to inhibit the rotation around the axis and in which an engaging pawl 36E is provided to the outer wall surface of a base part 36C; a cylindrical gear member which is arranged to cover the base part 36C and in the inner wall surface of which a thread groove 22E with which the engaging pawl 36E is engaged is formed and to the outer wall surface of which a helical gear is provided; and a driving gear which is engaged with the helical gear and is rotatively driven by a motor. The helical gear is separated from a cylindrical part to be divided into two members of an annular helical gear part 22C' and a cylindrical part 22F. A leaf spring 41 is provided to the outer wall surface of the cylindrical part 22F and the helical gear part 22C' is fixed to the outer wall surface of the cylindrical part 22F by frictional force between the leaf spring 41 and the helical gear part 22C'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
