PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for planning of billet cutting in which quality and operational efficiency are considered.SOLUTION: A cutting plan is created so that cast pieces 7 extracted from a continuous casting machine 1 are roughly cut with primary cutting machines 8, and then finally cut with final cutting machines (secondary cutting machines 10 or off-line cutting machines 21). Here, the final cutting machines for final cutting perform grouping in which the cutting instruction plans of identical billets are assumed the same group, and retrieve the cutting instruction plan that can be allocated to an unmatched quality part in the same group when determined that unmatched quality exists. Then, the cutting order of the billets is changed in the same group, and a billet cutting plan is created so that the unmatched quality is dissolved. |
