<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carbon having an extremely high specific surface area even if it is a crystalline carbon, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The porous carbon includes a mesopore 4 and a carbonaceous wall 3 which constitutes the contour of the mesopore 4, and a part forming a layer structure is present in the carbonaceous wall 3. The method for producing the porous carbon includes the steps of: mixing a polyamic acid resin 1 as a carbon precursor with magnesium oxide 2 as mold particles; heat-treating the mixture at 1,000°C in a nitrogen atmosphere for 1 hour to thermally-decompose the polyamic acid resin; cleaning the resulting sample with a sulfuric acid solution added in a ratio of 1 mol/l to elute MgO; and heat-treating the amorphous porous carbon at 2,500°C in a nitrogen atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
