摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carbon having an extremely high specific surface area even if it is a crystalline carbon.

SOLUTION: The porous carbon includes a mesopore and a carbonaceous wall which constitutes the contour of the mesopore, wherein the X-ray diffraction spectrum to CuKα rays (a wavelength of 1.541 Å) has a peak at 26.45° of the Bragg angle 2θ. Further, the carbonaceous wall preferably forms a three-dimensional network structure and preferably has a specific surface area of 200 m2/g or more and 1,500 m2/g or less.
