An article formed from a polyestercarbonate terpolymer, the terpolymer comprising: from about 30 to about 90 mole percent of a DMBPC unit of Formula (III): from about 5 to about 50 mole percent of an ITR ester unit of Formula (V):wherein h corresponds to the molar percentage of the isophthalate, j corresponds to the molar percentage of the resorcinolate, and k corresponds to the molar percentage of the terephthalate; h, j, and k add up to 100 mole percent of the ester unit; each Rc is independently selected from C1-12 alkyl and halogen; and r is an integer from zero to 3; from about 5 to about 25 mole percent of a bisphenol A unit of Formula (VII):wherein the polyestercarbonate terpolymer has a scratch resistance of 15 micrometers or less, when measured using the Erichson Scratch Test with a 6N load; and a haze level below 5 and a light transmittance greater than 75%, as measured by ASTM D1003; wherein the terpolymer is formed by mixing the DMPBC unit, the ITR ester unit, the bisphenol-A unit, and a chain transfer catalyst to form a mixture, wherein the chain transfer catalyst is present in the mixture in the amount of from 300 ppm to 400 ppm, and reacting the mixture to form the terpolymer.
