The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating food waste using microorganisms connected to a drainage hole of a sink to degrade food by stirring with microorganisms when the food is input, and discharging the same in a liquid state, comprising a cover with an opening and closing detection sensor formed on the cover installed in an inlet where the food is input. When the cover is opened, the opening and closing detection sensor detects the same, and transmitting a signal to a control part installed in a main board, wherein the control part stops stirring of the food and the microorganisms when receiving the signal. According to the present invention, provided is the apparatus for treating food waste using microorganisms including the opening and closing detection sensor attached to the cover, to stop stirring, when the cover is opened, thereby when a user puts the hands inside the apparatus, preventing damage, and preventing the foods or microorganisms from being out. |
