<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of further preventing a solid matter from eluting hexavalent chromium. <P>SOLUTION: The method of treating a heavy metal-containing ash includes a process of mixing a heavy metal-containing ash containing a chromium compound with an agent containing a magnesium compound and a bivalent iron salt, wherein the molar ratio of a phosphoric acid compound amount in terms of phosphorus in the agent to the bivalent iron salt amount in terms of iron is not greater than 0.09 (including 0), and the molar ratio of a bivalent iron salt amount in terms of iron to a total chromium-containing amount in the heavy metal-containing ash is 20 to 100. The molar ratio of a magnesium compound amount in terms of magnesium to a total chromium-containing amount in the heavy metal-containing ash is favorably 30 to 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
