According to an embodiment of the present invention, a display device includes: a display panel (100) including upper and lower substrates bonded together (101, 102); gate and data lines (GL, DL) formed on the lower substrate (101) to intersect each other; pixel areas formed on the intersection points of the gate and data lines (GL, DL); a light emitting diode (LED) device (200) connected to common electrodes on the upper substrate (102) and in the pixel areas; and a thin-film transistor (T) which is controlled by a scan signal on the gate lines (GL) and is connected between the LED device (200) and the data lines (DL). The LED device (200) can emit light according to the potential difference between a common voltage (Vcom) of the common electrodes (500) and a data signal from the data lines (DL). |
