<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water retention device of a hybrid hot water supply device that can retain a hot water temperature in a hot water supply pipe at a prescribed temperature without lowering the hot water temperature in a hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: For a business use hot water supply device at a hotel or the like, a hybrid type including a heat pump hot water supply machine 2 and a hot water heater 3 is generally used. In order to always output hot water of a fixed temperature from a hot water faucet 4, a return pipe 21 is connected to a hot water supply pipe 13 to form a circulation path, thereby providing a means for heating hot water in the return pipe 21. The terminal of the return pipe 21 is connected to a mixing valve 5. In the midway of the return pipe 21, a branch pipe 22 is disposed to communicate with a low-temperature pipe 14 connected to the heat exchanger 3A of the hot water heater 3 from the hot water storage tank 1.
