<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric generator for a rail car, capable of performing shrink-fitting of holding bands surrounding a plurality of balancers by the outer periphery thereof without any trouble, and effectively preventing the holding bands from being removed from the balancers. <P>SOLUTION: An electric generator for a rail car includes: an inner core 3, a plurality of balancers 4 arranged on end faces on both axial sides of a radial outer edge of the inner core 3 at predetermined intervals in a peripheral direction; metallic holding bands 5A and 5B subjected to shrink-fitting so as to surround the plurality of balancers 4 by the outer periphery thereof; and a plurality of sets of fastening means 6 for fastening the inner core 3 and the balancers to each other. Each fastening means 6 includes a bolt 60 with a head, a washer 61, and a nut member 62. At least one of the bolts 60 with heads in the plurality of sets of fastening means is inserted into the balancer 4 on one axial side, and at least another one is inserted into the balancer 4 on the other axial side, and the outer periphery of the washer 62 prevents falling of the holding bands 5A and 5B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
