The present invention relates to a display device which can increase reliability, and a driving method using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the display device comprises: pixels positioned in an area divided by scanning lines and data lines; a scanning drive unit for generating scanning signals supplied to the scanning lines by using gate on voltage and gate off voltage; a comparison unit for receiving a first scanning signal which is at least one signal of the scanning signals, and comparing voltage of the first scanning signal and voltage of a reference power source; a power unit for controlling at least one voltage from the gate on voltage and the gate off voltage in response to the comparison result of the comparison unit; and a control unit for controlling the scanning drive unit.
